IFG Featured in BigTime Case Study

IFG is happy to be featured as BigTime’s recent case study presentation! To read the full case study, visit BigTime’s blog here.

For nearly five years, IFG wrote, updated, and used our own custom-built time tracking system. Throughout that time, our Director of Operations, Scott Schriber, said that the company logged approximately $100,000 of billable time to develop a homegrown solution.

After evaluating several systems, it became clear that custom project structures were a priority for accurate time tracking and billing over day-to-day task management. Finally, we landed with BigTime. Their platform offered all of the important features that we needed, including project fields that were completely structured to mirror the language that IFG already had in place; a support team to help manage the integration to IFG’s QuickBooks Online set up; and Custom reports built to uncover a new level of data.

“The whole process was very easy; there were no problems making the transition,” said Schriber.

In addition, BigTime has allowed IFG to dramatically improve how invoices are built, stored, and previewed. Internal cross-checks before an invoice is sent are now easier for the management team. “Invoicing out of BigTime and then directly posting invoices to QuickBooks allows for zero human error – During our two years with BigTime, they have made many improvements and the platform is getting better all the time.” Schriber commented.

BigTime is an online time and billing solution designed to serve professional service firms like accounting, engineering, government contracting, legal, and IT services. The integrated solution offers features like time and expense tracking, WIP management, task and workflow management, invoicing, billing, and more.
